at Ingrow Primary School

Throughout Ingrow, we aim to instill a love science and growing curiosity in all children.  Science is taught through both discrete lessons and topic based learning, where we aim to give students opportunities to develop their scientific knowledge through exploration and questioning. The document below outline the national expectations for subject coverage for each year group.

The KS2 children at Ingrow had a very special visitor this October. Nick Arnold the author of the 'Horrible Science' series came to school to share a range of his experiments with the children and sign copies of his books. This provided a great link between science and English!

At Ingrow we love to learn outdoors. We have the opportunity to explore a variety of habitats and regularly have hands on practical experiences in our Science lessons.
